The 2027 Ford F-150 Focuses on New Drivelines, Enhanced BlueCruise, and Adds Carhartt Package
As America’s truck sales leader for 49 years, the Ford F-150 continues to work, play, tow, protect our communities, and provide enjoyment to its owners. To continue offering our best-selling vehicle, we have to listen to what you like about our pickup truck and what improvements need to be made for the next model year and beyond.
Based on your feedback, Ford updated the F-150 for 2027.

The new model will feature exterior enhancements, a major update to the BlueCruise hands-free driver assist with towing technology, a new lineup of powertrains, more accessible off-road offerings, and the new Carhartt trim package.
On the outside, the Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum models will wear distinctive new grille and wheel designs. These updates will provide customers a more modern look to distinguish these luxury trim levels from the rest of its class.
To meet the demand of owners who love to tow, the 2027 F-150 adds a new towing feature to the BlueCruise hands-free driver assist technology. Along the 130,000 miles of pre-qualified divided highways, an extended Blue Zone will include a trailer when BlueCruise in enabled. That way, you can keep your eyes on the road, while the 2027 F-150 and your trailer are locked in on the set you set for your drive. It is available on every trim from XLT and up. The enhanced trailer add-on will also come included in your BlueCruise subscription.

The biggest drivetrain change on the 2027 F-150 is the new standard 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6. Replacing the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the new-to-F-150 engine delivers a more confident experience with smooth power and more torque than the outgoing engine. King Ranch and Platinum customers will have the choice of the 400-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine again after a few years away. You can get the smoothness of V8 performance across the entire lineup. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and the PowerBoost hybrid will also be avalable on the 2027 F-150.
When it comes to going off-road, the Ford F-150 leads the pack with its Tremor and Raptor models. However, you can get these two trim levels at a lower price with new entry-level versions of them. The lower-priced Tremor will include items from the STX models, with a manual air conditioning unit, a fixed rear glass, and a six-speaker audio system, along with the deletion of off-road running boards. The entry-level Raptor will see some features removed in favor of an emphasis on hardcore performance above amenities.

As with the Super Duty pickup truck, the 2027 F-150 will be available in a Carhartt package. Based in the same city as Ford’s headquarters, the leading brand in workwear gets a special pickup truck for the working individual. The package includes unique 20-inch wheel, Carhartt badges inside and out, a cowl hood, modified grille, dual exhaust, and off-road running boards complete ethe exterior look. Inside, there are two-tone seats in the Carhartt theme, along with other trim matching with the seats and its color scheme. In all, it is premium feeling that is ready for work.
